MomShare!
MomShare! was created after Typhoon Ondoy. The great flood in Manila that caused so much damage but also became a great time of sharing and caring. A lot of moms and dads took this opportunity to show their young ones to care for those in need and share their blessings with the less fortunate.
MomShare! creates opportunities, even after Ondoy, for moms to keep doing this. Opportunities to share, and to remind our children to share.
Since MomShare! was founded November last year, we have been able to accomplish the following:
- MomShare! with the Creative Juice team joined Everyday is your Birthday foundation’s Patricia Hizon in Ondoy-affected communities in Taytay by distributing free lunch, with the help of Hizon’s catering
- MomShare! went back with a Christmas goody bag distribution project, from the proceeds of Expo Mom 2009, and from generous donors from our mommy community. Each bag was labelled with a gift tag from a MomShare! family.

From Expo Kid’s proceeds, donations of cash, school supplies and coloring materials, MomShare! is set to hold an art activity for orphans this June at the Kids Ahoy studio. Mommy and child volunteers are welcome! (interested parties may email us at mommymundo@gmail.com)
How MomShare! works:
1. In every Mommy Mundo event, we initiate a MomShare! project. We adopt a cause for every event- it could be to help a community in need, help a sick child, a desperate mother or family, send a child to school or support expectant or breastfeeding mothers.
2. MomShare! also supports other mom-founded outreach programs such as Moms for moms, Migi’s Corner, Everyday is your Birthday.
3. We run donation drives, promote outreach projects, solicit for support and assistance for other moms, kids and families through email or sms blasts among our network of moms, as well as through posts in our blogs and social networking sites.
Email us if you’re interested in being part of MomShare!
