Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan to Talk about Family and Yaya Partnerships
Yayas have become an indispensable part of the modern urban family. While mom and dad are hard at work, making a good living for the family, yaya is at home taking care of the kids. This arrangement has its fair share of challenges, but you can make it into a highly effective one with a couple of good moves. Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, hands-on mom of five, award-winning actress, book author, and newspaper columnist, will help you achieve a most fruitful relationship with yaya through her talk, “Family & Yaya Partnership: Surviving and Thriving as Partners Towards the Healthy Development of Your Child.” A Mommy Mundo event, it happens on August 16, 2014, 9 to 11 AM, at The Crib, Fun Ranch, Pasig City.
A graduate of Social Sciences at the University of the Philippines in Manila, Maricel earned her Master's Degree in Family Life and Child Development at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She has facilitated numerous yaya training seminars, which have been helpful to countless Filipino households through the years. Maricel also wrote the book, I Love You, Yaya Handbook.
